This Hans Hansen of Denmark place setting is a great example of the company’s modernist design signature.  Hans Hansen‘s first smithy was set up in Kolding, Denmark, in 1906, specializing in silver flatware and hollowware.  The company went on to make jewelry in the 1930s when Hans’s son, Gustav apprenticed in the company’s workshops. Later in 1991 the company was incorporated into Georg Jensen where some of the Hans Hansen flatware and jewelery styles are still in production today.
