A splash of silver — quite literally.
This circa 1960s Georg Jensen sterling silver bracelet is Henning Koppel’s iconic “Splash” design, Model No. 88B.
Ten wonderfully abstract, free-form silver sections flow together around the wrist, each with the soft, sculptural curves that made Koppel one of the great voices of Danish modern design.
An ingenious toggle-style clasp becomes part of the design rather than interrupting it, while a safety chain provides a little extra security.
The silver has naturally oxidized over time, creating a rich patina that settles beautifully into the curves and recesses of the bracelet.
We wouldn’t polish the personality out of this one.
Bold, organic and unmistakably Scandinavian, the 88B is wearable sculpture from one of Georg Jensen’s most celebrated designers.
